Why couldn't I have paid $1700 to sneak in and hide the fact that I'm a journalist? Too expensive and unethical. Or should I have run for a EDA delegate pass so that the party could have paid my way?

I can’t speak to the costs, or whether something is too expensive. But sneaking in seems unethical to me, especially when you could have just as easily paid the entrance fee.

What is particularly sad about your experience is it seems virtually all political conventions are like this one. Apart from promoting the cult of the leader don't see what the point of these conventions is.

We would be better off if political parties were banned and we returned to the principles that parliament was supposedly created as
