Friday, I had a a hell of a few hours. A good hell. A hell of describing history, society, free trade, Canadian identity, capitalism and profits, Canada Post — all in 8 minutes and six separate times. It’s been a long time since I’ve done CBC syndication, though I think the last time I had 21 interviews, rather than 6.
The great thing about doing the weekend morning shows is that there are fewer shows. The greater thing? I have more time. The difficult thing? Well, my new book covers a lot of ground. Maybe too much ground. It felt like a 2-hour marathon.
I haven’t seen it posted online anywhere and I don’t really know if their aired yesterday morning. Or this morning. British Columbia should hear me in a few weeks.
I didn’t get a single interview from mainstream media for The Social Safety Net. And it’s probably been two years since I did syndication, so this was a real treat. I don’t think I’ve ever talked about anticapitalism and corporate greed so directly and radically on CBC before. I guess I look forward to the Ombuds complaint. I hope people hear it. And in the mean time, you can check out this great review from the Seaboard Review of Books. And below that? Last week’s headlines from the Daily News Podcast.
