I’ve been back for two weeks now. You might have noticed that I only do these round-ups when I have time and this was the first time I had time since I’ve been back.
Two show announcements! Sandy and Nora will be live in Toronto on Oct. 14. You can get your tickets here. Plus, save the day — Nov. 24 it looks like we’re headed to Winnipeg!

Just circling back to this one, the Toronto murder by a UK military man was of my friend, Brett Sheffield. It was both assuring and a bit triggering to hear this incident noted in Daily News. I spoke at Brett's service and urged men to look inward at the sources of violence in them, the kind that ended Brett's life so needlessly as perpetrated by his killer. His death has been deeply disruptive in the lives of those who knew him, worked with/for him, loved and were loved by him. I see news like this every day, and now understand a bit better what it's like to be on the inside of the story.
