Sorry for having not sent up a Daily News round-up in a few weeks. Being in Edmonton and then Ottawa meant that I had no time to do anything extra and this is what I cut first when I have no time.
From being assaulted by Maxime Bernier to our family being banned from Passover at the synagogue for our position on Gaza this week has been nuts. I’ve filed a small claims action against the Ottawa International Food and Book Expo and am hearing that pretty much no one is having any of their expenses paid. The whole thing looks quite a lot like criminal fraud! But hey, what do I know? I’m just a shlub that’s owed $1500. Anyway.
The big story this week, of course, has been how students across North America (and the world) are doing everything in their power to bring attention to Gaza. For that movement. I made a video talking about encampments as a tactic that you should watch if you’re wondering why people are choosing to set up tents:

All good. You are beginning to reap what you have sown. More hardship and disruption to come for you in your life, I'm afraid. You seem to be like a child who is unaware of real life consequences. This might be a turning point for you. Good luck.
The reaction has been astonishing compared to "Occupy" in 2010. Those folks were just allowed to sit and get tired of sitting. I'm also missing stories from campus students who were threatened - I don't mean "feeling threatened when listening to a speech" but actually, personally, threatened or assaulted.
Compared to six Muslims shot dead in the back, while they knelt to pray, and a family mowed down by an SUV, and Muslims all just had to get back to work the next day, I'm struggling to find out what the sense of threat to some students would be, from this.
