This past week, Donald Trump announced that he wanted to do ethnic cleansing in Gaza. He has promised to forcibly remove Gazans and relocate them to neighbouring regions.
That day, images of the Globe and Mail’s front page and the Journal de Québec’s front page came across my news feed. While the newspapers are very different, it’s stark to see just how little the Globe still cares about what is happening in Gaza. Where the Globe chose to highlight the death of the Aga Khan, the JdQ made Gaza the main story. Look at the difference:
Anyway, it’s late and I don’t want to write too more into what’s going on here. I just think that the Globe’s strategy of ignoring Gaza is a foolish one.
