It’s the start of March Break! My kids came home and said that in both classes, their classmates were counting down the last hour, aloud, every five minutes. I hope the teachers and service de garde workers have nothing lined up but rest.
Which, speaking of, I plan to also rest a bit this week too. I’m heading to Edmonton at the end of the week (sadly, I couldn’t get any public events to work) but between now and then, I have an ambitious plan to finally clean my office (which is a disaster), read at least two books and finish my pile of almost-finished crossword puzzles.
Last year, I banished my family to southern Ontario for March break. I was under deadline for my next book, which I furiously wrote through during those four days, but I also recall going on a few random runs and not much else. I’ll be glad to ski this time rather than run. I guess last year was pretty mild.
Now, if you’re out and about today around 4:00, tune in to SiriusXM. Sandy and I make our debut and you will hear this week’s episode of the podcast. Yes, talking about peace and diplomacy on commercial radio? Amazing.
Anyway, have a good first week of March! Here are the headlines that I covered in the past week’s episodes of the Daily News podcast.
