Ugh. I'm thinking of going around my city, snapping pictures of the empty lots and abandoned housing projects, and posting them and tagging Carney and the provincial premier because yes it's time to build. It's time to BUILD AFFORDABLE HOUSING, ffs

It’s worth keeping in mind that Carney was not planning to run for another term.

I think Carney will stick around as long as the mythology that he represents something different for the Dominion of Canada (a resource extraction subsidiary for Western European empires). Then some other mascot will be put in place to continue the project so people can point fingers at individuals rather than the foreign founding identity, values and culture of the Dominion.

Carney is moving faster and further than Harper ever dreamed of doing, but confusion between Western Conservatism and Western Liberalism enable to continuation of the colonialism project.

BTW: While I'm not a fan of the AI Bubble, I find it interesting to use LLM's as a library research assistant for critiquing the worldviews that inevitably lead to these bubbles.

Evan Solomon, the former darling of establishment media, is eager to hand public money to tech-bro billionaires, leaving him to shine on as the nihilist narcissist he’s always been.

Carney's circle of advisors on innovation and technology has long ranged from the tech-oligarchs of Silicon Valley to the fully fascist nerd reich. Plus the DOGE-north Technological Republic crew at Shopify and their pals. In other words, from evil to fucking seriously evil. And they most certainly are asking for more gigflop slop factories.

"Digital Sovereignty" is just a opportunistic catchphrase for them that will dropped as quickly as "blockchain" or "climate finance," once it stops trending. That's the nature of a finance bro.

Carney and Solomon have made no secret about taking this "Build Canada" halfwit garbage seriously: https://www.buildcanada.com/
